AUXILIARY OFFICERS
Auxiliary/Sergeant Kevin Barbour
Sgt. Barbour has been employed with the Benson Police Department as an Auxiliary Police Officer since February of 2003. He currently works full time for the Dunn Police Department, and he previously worked as a Patrol Sergeant for the Benson Police Department from 1994 to 2001 .
Auxiliary/Patrolman Neal Johnson
Ptl. Johnson has been employed with the Benson Police Department as an Auxiliary Police Officer since February of 2010. He currently works full time for the Clayton Police Department, and was previously employed by the Johnston County Sheriff's Department and the NC Department of Motor Vehicles. He also has been an Overseas Independant Contractor for a private security provider.
Auxiliary/Patrolman Mike Smith
Ptl. Smith has been employed with the Benson Police Department as an Auxiliary Police Officer since March of 2011. He previously was a Detective for the Benson Police Department from 2006 to 2011, and he was employed by the Johnston County Sheriff's Department for several years prior to that.
Auxiliary/Patrolman Shannon Hodges
Ptl. Hodges has been employed with the Benson Police Department as an Auxiliary Police Officer since April of 2011. He previously was a Patrol Officer for the Benson Police Department from 2004 to 2009, and he has served as the Nuisance Abatement Officer from 2009 until 2011.
Auxiliary/Patrolman Ryan Sasser
Ptl. Sasser has been employed with the Benson Police Department as an Auxiliary Police Officer since November of 2011. He currently works full time for the Coats Police Department, and he previously was a Patrol Officer for the Benson Police Department from 2009 to 2011.
