If you would like to apply for a position with our department, please use this link to download a Town of Benson application, and this link to download a NC Criminal Justice Training and Standards Commission Form F-3 (Personal History Statement). Once both forms are completed, contact the Chief of Police at 919-894-2091 to schedule an interview.
Employment Requirements
Must be 21 years of age, must be a high school graduate or have a GED, must be currently certified by the State of NC as a law enforcement officer, or a graduate of an accredited BLET program. The Benson Police Department will not interview or hire individuals that are not BLET certified.
