Chief Kenneth Edwards states, "What we want the public to understand is that these investigations take time. In the past, while working in conjunction with other agencies, they have lasted for up to one year, before any arrests were made."
"Drug complaints received by our department have been down dramatically recently, and hopefully, they will continue to be low. However, if the citizens of Benson have a concern, question, comment, or complaint, I can be reached 24 hours a day, simply by dialing 934-9411 and asking the Telecommunicator to contact the Chief of Police. I can also be reached at the Police Department by dialing 894-2091, by paging me at 989-2986, or by email at chief@bensonpd.org."
Chief Edwards concludes, "As I have stated on numerous occasions, public input is essential to the law enforcement function, and I deeply appreciate your continued support."
