On June 13, 2006, at approximately 10:00 PM, the BP Station at Highway 242 South and Highway 50 in Benson was robbed at gunpoint. An undetermined amount of money was taken during the robbery, but no injuries were reported.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic Male in his mid-20's, approximately 5' 7 and 260 pounds, with brown hair and what was described as "prison style" tattoos on both arms. The suspect was wearing a gray T-shirt on his head as a "do-rag," blue jeans, and a white T-shirt. This shirt had a picture of a car on the back, and the word "Bodyshop" written in red lettering on the front.

The suspect was last seen heading South through the Food Lion parking lot in a 90's model Honda, possibly a Civic or Accord. The vehicle was primer gray in color, and had a "Ground Effects" kit on it, as well as custom chrome wheels.

The Benson Police Department is requesting assistance from the public with identifying this suspect. Anyone with information regarding the "Bodyshop" T-shirt, the vehicle, or the identity of the suspect is encouraged to contact Detective Brandon Davies at 919-894-2091, or by email at bdavies@bensonpd.org.
