Chief Kenneth Edwards stated, "This operation is an indication of my continuing commitment to not only respond to complaints from our citizens, but to also take a proactive approach to reducing criminal activity in the Town of Benson. The sale and use of illegal drugs creates other crimes, so we intend to do our best to decrease and discourage drug activity." Chief Edwards also said, "I encourage the citizens of Benson to report any drug activity that they might see. We can't be everywhere and see everything that goes on, but with their help, it will give us additional places to look."
